What to see in Ullapool
Ullapool (/ ˈʌləpuːl/ (in Scottish Gaelic: Ullapul or Ulapul) [ˈul̪ˠapʰul̪ˠ]) is a small town in the Count of Ross and Cromarty in Highlands, Scotland. Despite its size, it is the largest settlement to the round kilometers.
Founded in 1788 as a fishing port of the herring. Designed by Thomas Telford, to the east shore of Loch Broom. The port is still the center of the town, apart from its use for yachts and as a basis for ferries to Stornoway, which connects with exterior hebrids. It has a small museum, an arts center, a public pool, golf course, medical services and a school as well as several bars (pubs).
